AIFF Reviews
Anchorage International Film Festival is food for the filmmakers soul. I saw so many films that took my breath away, had so many conversations I didn’t want to end and was moved by the wonders of Alaska. What an incredible experience! Unlike any other Festival I have attended. Best EVER, truly.

This was single-handedly the best festival experience I've ever had. A true film festival by filmmakers with a truly engaged and enthusiastic audience. The fest hosted multiple excursions in the near-by nature areas, to truly bring the filmmakers together for truly special days of bonding with nature and one another. The filmmakers interacted with each other at films, about films and I honestly think some beautiful collaborations will be born from this fest. I'm going to say it right here...Anchorage International Film Festival 2024 is going to be talked about for years...or at least until 2025 when the magic continues to grow. Thank you!!! A memory of a lifetime.

I’m not exaggerating when I say: visiting Anchorage, attending the festival, and showing my film there has been one of the best times of my life. The quality of the invited films was incredibly high—so many inspiring works. But what made it even more meaningful were the people: the fellow filmmakers, artists, and guests were generous, open, and deeply appreciative. I had so many wonderful conversations. The locals in Anchorage were amazing hosts—warm, helpful, and full of kindness. The spirit of the festival, and of the town itself, felt alive, beautiful, and special.

AIFF is one of the best festivals I've ever attended and I see it only going from strength to strength with the great festival organisers they have and the strong community of film fans in Anchorage! Adam and Pat have really taken to the festival directing like fish to water. I've never met more committed festival directors in my life. They were at every screening, Q&A, mixer, and filmmaker excursion. Speaking of which, the festival excursions to the glacier hike, Indigenous cultural centre, and Northern Lights experience were incredible.

This is such a fantastic festival that lights up the winter in Anchorage. The organizers do a great job making it feel like a community festival, and work to make each screening feel special. As an Anchorage resident, it's a great feeling to share work with a hometown audience and this is such an important event for our creative community -- thanks to all who work so hard to make it happen.

The hospitality from the festival team and locals were especially welcoming. Attending the films and excursions in Alaska with the festival created a special feeling of togetherness with the filmmakers I've never experienced at another festival. 100% lives up to its reputation as one of the coolest film festivals in the world (and films worth freezing for!)

What sets AIFF apart is its vision - a carefully crafted arrangement of films and events unlike any other festival. They even organized tours for filmmakers to explore Alaska together, giving us the chance to connect and share unforgettable experiences. Every detail feels intentional and meaningful, and it was an honor to be a part of it.

Such an amazing experience! Not only was the programming and community excellent, but the care that the festival put into ensuring that the filmmakers made the most of being in Alaska set this apart from any festival I’ve been to before. A creatively motivating 10 days that I will ALWAYS cherish.

Hands down one of the best filmmaker forward festivals you could ever attend. We were honored to screen our short film Mecánica and take home the jury award for outstanding writing. This festival takes amazing care of the attending filmmakers - don't sleep on it!.

This festival was so beautifully programmed, with multiple networking opportunities, and the chance to get to experience Alaska. The films were among the best I have seen in any festival as a participant or an audience member.
